Why Law Students Are Helping Transgender People Change Their ID (via HuffPost Canada)

It’s complicated. It’s expensive. And it’s vital.

Pro Bono Students Canada has partnered with Sketch, a Toronto-based organization, to provide a Transgender I.D. Clinic since September.

The clinic provides legal assistance with ID applications, name changes, gender marker changes and other related issues and is free for transgender youth (16-29) who are navigating poverty, living homeless, or on the margins.
